Path of Exile Currency Farming

Path of Exile's player-driven economy relies heavily on currency items. They can be used to purchase powerful gear and upgrade existing items, as well as traded for valuable items.

Farming maps

GGG recently adjusted the drop locations of divination cards to make them easier to collect. Furthermore, they introduced a feature allowing players to adjust how many cards are received for every hour spent farming - this helps players increase the orb count when farming!

This week's patch also introduced new Ancestor League teasers and two Divination cards: The Fortunate and Fire of Unknown Origin. Furthermore, stacked decks and Eldritch altars now provide bonuses to divination card drops, helping reduce RMT within the game and decreasing trading for them thereby helping keep RMT at bay.

Chances of Strongbox Rewards Increase with Map Level The chance that a strongbox contains rewards increases with each map's level. Some strongboxes contain additional modifiers which increase their chance of delivering players rewards; for instance, Operative's Strongbox has a 6-percent chance of appearing while Cartographer's can appear only in Tier 13+ maps.

Engineer's Orbs can be used to enhance the quality of strongboxes by increasing their quality by 5 percent for normal ones, 2 percent for magical ones and one for rare ones respectively - this does not change their capacity or decrease it; also equipped Item Quantity modifier gear does not increase drop rates from strongboxes.
